Retirement for Wil Mathijssen
02 Mar 2026 Only a few months after his 25-teay anniversary, Wil Mathijssen reached another milestone: his retirement!
As a production engineer, Wil could always be found on our factory floor, where—with his extensive knowledge of molds, machines, and plastics—he continuously fine-tuned production.
Wil knows everything about having molds built by our Chinese partners; for this, he flew to Shenzhen several times a year. In recent years, he has transferred this knowledge and these contacts to our engineers. Together with Wil, we previously wrote a whitepaper about this: “How do I buy the right injection mold?”. In addition to the many hours he worked at Pekago, Wil also volunteers for various other organizations, such as the youth fire brigade and the Four Days Marches. He also completes the Nijmegen Four Days Marches energetically every year. This busy man is certainly not afraid of getting bored in retirement!
