We are proud to announce that Pekago Covering Technology has officially become part of the Wicro Group.

JOINT PRESS RELEASE

Wicro Group acquires Pekago Covering Technology and strengthens its position as a high‑end plastics partner for the OEM market

Kessel / Goirle, 29‑06‑2026 – As of 19 June 2026, Wicro Group has acquired all shares of Pekago Covering Technology from VADO Beheer. By joining forces, the two family-owned companies combine their technological expertise, production capacity and market position to support customers even better in the growing demand for high-quality plastic solutions. Pekago will continue to operate under its own management and name.

Broader technology platform strengthens position as full‑service partner for OEMs

By combining their strengths, a broader and more complete technology platform emerges across high-tech, medical, machinery, mobility and industrial applications. Wicro specializes in technical injection moulding (50–1150T), automation and assembly, while Pekago excels in plastic housings, TSG, technical injection moulded parts (up to 2100T) and high-end finishing and post-processing. Together, the companies can support customers end-to-end, from engineering and product development to production, assembly and logistics.

The collaboration also provides more scale, production capacity and innovative strength. By combining expertise in injection moulding, thermoforming, automation and design for manufacturing, innovative and cost-efficient product solutions can be developed more quickly. The combination also strengthens the position towards international OEM customers who increasingly seek partners offering multiple plastics technologies under one roof.

Craftsmanship and employees at the core

Wicro and Pekago are not only a strong technological match; they also share a similar company culture. Both are entrepreneurial family businesses with short communication lines, a pragmatic mindset and a strong focus on craftsmanship and long-term relationships with customers and employees.

The collaboration offers employees more opportunities to develop across different technologies, markets and projects. Closer cooperation creates additional opportunities for knowledge sharing and career growth. Moreover, the combination strengthens the attractiveness of both companies in the labour market. The mix of challenging projects, modern technology and development opportunities makes both organisations more appealing to technical talent.

Evelien Fassotte, Managing Director of Wicro Group:
“With Pekago, we are adding a highly specialized plastics company that fits Wicro perfectly—both technologically and culturally. Just like with the acquisition of Alligator Plastics in 2025, we strongly believe in combining specialist knowledge, production capacity and innovative strength. By working together, we can support customers better with complex plastics challenges and create new development opportunities for employees. We look forward to our collaboration.”

Arjen de Jong, Managing Director of Pekago:
“For Pekago, this is an important strategic step towards the future. The combination with Wicro gives our customers access to additional technologies, a broader machine park and more engineering capabilities, while preserving Pekago’s specialized character and quality. It also creates new opportunities for our employees to grow within a larger and innovative organisation.”

VADO supports Pekago’s next growth phase

Pekago has been part of VADO Beheer since 1998. VADO has carefully considered Pekago’s future in a plastics market where scale and technological breadth are becoming increasingly important.

By joining Wicro, Pekago gains more opportunities to take on larger projects and support customers more broadly. According to VADO, Wicro—an entrepreneurial family business with a strong long-term vision—fits well with Pekago’s culture and ambitions. VADO has guided the process closely together with Pekago’s management and has great confidence in this next step for the company.
